Ship 171 Information Meeting
August 06, 7:00pm Lake Norman Yacht Club NOW HEAR THIS, NEW SEA SCOUTS UNIT - SHIP 171 High Adventure In, On, Around, and Under the Water Sea Scouting is an inclusive program through the Boy Scouts of America for all youth aged 14-21 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade). For over 100 years Sea Scouting has promoted better citizenship and improved members boating skills through instruction and practice in water safety, boating skills, outdoor, social, service experiences, and knowledge of our maritime heritage. Summer 2025 Bechtel Reserve Glen Jean, WV Troop 171 is offering this 7 day / 6 night event up for 8 Scouts and 2 AWs. Cost is expected to be $1150 per person, with $150 due by August 12 2024, $550 due by October 31 2024, and $450 due by February 28 2025. Age: Scouts must have completed 8th Grade to attend and be able to pass the BSA Swim Test. Available space is going fast so we need to confirm quickly to secure our spots. There are two possible weeks for this event. Based on highest interest level, including AW availability, we'll make the final date determination. August 06, 6:30-8, Lake Norman Elementary School For any Scouts not at PLC, come help the Pack with this beautification and landscaping project getting the school ready for the 2024 / 2025 School Year. Up to 2 hours of service will be given. |
